Quingdao is a special place. Nestled in the Northwest of the P.R.C's Shandong province, (the neck of the chicken) Quingdao is host to the 2008 Olympic rowing event. The air is dry and at times hangs over the harbor. Fogs leisurely wend in and out in the cold fall air. At times it's crisp and windy weather augurs the arrival of winter.
